Short-Term Intervention Program

🌱 Short-Term Intervention (STI) Overview

STI stands for "Short-Term Intervention," a program designed to support students, parents, and educators in understanding the roots of emotional and behavioral challenges before jumping into problem-solving.

Many difficulties seen in school life are often labeled as "problems," but in reality, understanding the core of those experiences is often the first step.

STI was created to serve as a psychological entry point for emotional and behavioral understanding at that very first step.

πŸ’» Online Flexibility

STI is designed to be delivered flexibly, primarily through individualized online sessions. In-person sessions may also be arranged when feasible, depending on the context and needs of the school or family. Students and caregivers complete Google Form-based worksheets after each session, supporting emotional reflection and continuity of care—even in remote settings.

πŸ“˜ Program Structure & Session Format

  • A short-term intervention made up of 6–8 sessions

  • Each STI typically includes a brief screening assessment and clinical interview, along with 1:1 individualized sessions with the student

  • Both student and parent sessions are integrated throughout the program, depending on the presenting issue and developmental level

  • The final session concludes with a joint feedback session, involving the student, parent(s), and—when appropriate—a teacher
